INTRODUCTION:

            Minaakshi Arts and Crafts welfare society, D.No.31-5-22 Machavaram, Vijayawada Urban, Krishna District, AP was registered in 2014 with Reg No. 182/2014, under Society’s Registration Act 2001. MINAAKSHI ARTS AND CRAFTS WELFARE SOCIETY is to establish a platform for the skill development in Arts & Crafts and in Entrepreneurship in Urban and Rural youth employable, in the rapidly changing economy, ensuring livelihoods and also contributing positively to the urban poor SHG women. Training on skills in all types of Arts & Crafts and other allied activities in Entrepreneurship Programs has been conducted by the organization.

MAC welfare society offers comprehensive training programs on issues relating to its developmental activities. The Training Programs are based on the organization’s practical field experiences and learning to maximize the utility of training for participants, We provide customized training on specific topics relating to its core areas, in which it customizes training to the specific requirements of participating individuals or organizations. These are specially designed training programs which enables the participants to adopt their learning have and field observations and experiences so as to meet their organizational and professional development needs. Such customized training requires small group’s urban poor SHG women covering at least ten participants.

VISION:

The Rural Youth and other women groups should lead better living in the community with sustainability and quality of life through skill development. (Arts and Crafts)

MISSION:

To Provide skill development, capacity building & entrepreneurship to the school and college students, youth and other marginalized groups of rural, urban and tribal areas and SHG women groups as an empowerment and further to achieve their sustainable development and empowerment socially , economically and culturally.

  

OPERATIONAL AREAS:

Organization operational area covered 8 mandals of Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh and it will be extended to other mandals in course of time.

FOCUSED AREAS: 

The main focused areas of “MAC welfare society “provides different types of interventions for the development of arts and crafts such as ..Arts and Crafts, Handicrafts, Skill Development, Livelihoods, Children, youth and women, Differently abled and Community Health which are useful for the welfare of the target groups.

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF FUNCTIONING:

MINAAKSHI ARTS AND CRAFTS WELFARE SOCIETY is a Secular Voluntary Organization established in the year 2014 by a group of voluntary social workers led by Smt. K.Minaakshi for making to empower the SHG women and their children, youth and marginalized people of all communities living in rural and urban pockets and slums of Andhra Pradesh.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: 

 1.      To establish a platform for the skill development in Arts & Crafts and in Entrepreneurship i.e., Training & Examining their skill and issuing Certificates for eligibility in work proficiency at free of cost without caste, community and creed.

2.      To conduct awareness camps In All types of Arts & Crafts and other allied activities in entrepreneurship programs.

3.      To establish institutions or to take over existing once.

4.      To conduct training sessions on institutions Research Methodology, Teaching Methodology..etc for students and researchers.

5.      To organize sessions on soft skills and Career oriented communication for students as well as tutors.

6.      To organize target group oriented communication skills.

7.      To organize State, National and International level conferences.

8.      To develop and maintain website regarding the academic documents & to encourage the upcoming issues of the people.

9.      To conduct all other allied activities, relating to fulfill the aims and objectives.

10.  To foster enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts and knowledge of Artists artisans handicrafts people and Designers etc.

11.  To extend its helping hand to them in need and its main aims are to bring all the people under one flag irrespective of caste,  color, creed, and religion.

12.  To establish Adult Educational Centers in villages to educate the ignorant and the illiterate in Agriculture, Public Health and HIV/AIDS awareness programs, sanitation etc.

13.  To establish Educational and Vocational Training Institutes-in, order to educate and train the under privileged to become self reliant.

14.  To establish Libraries, Museums, etc.. to diffuse knowledge to students and general public

15.  To establish, maintain and run Schools, Colleges and Technical Training Institutions.

16.  To Establish Nursing and Midwifery Course, Multi - Purpose health Workers Female Training. DMLT Training Institute, DMLT Medical Lab Tech Course.

17.  To establish maintain hostels and Orphanages for students and Old age homes.

18.  To engage in activities of Charitable Nature to meet the physical & mental needs.

19.  To provide Urban/Rural Development Projects like drinking water program, sanitation program, public cooperation housing   DWACRA etc., for the welfare of Urban/Rural People.

20.  To make efforts and to implement self-employment schemes to eradicate, unemployment.

21.  To supply medicines, food, clothing to leprosy patients and to construct hospitals for eradication of leprosy.

22.  To help the victims of Natural Calamities and Disasters.

23.  To promote welfare of the Weaker Sections and to take development projects for their eradication of Poverty.

24.  To do such things as are conductive to the attainment of any of the above noted aims and objectives for the promotion and preservation of the poor.

25.  To establish all types of Cottage industries like Agarbathies, Candles, Papads, Paper plates making, Raw material making for all types of paper plates, Broken Rice, Pickles etc

TRAINING ON FASHION TECHNOLOGY: 

A training program was organized by our NGO in Montessori College of women from 15^th to 20^th Dec,2014 on Fashion Technology to 50 students. During training period simple and easy techniques on painting, designing were explained to the college students. It known fact that generally there is lack of skill in the products made by the students or others at their house. The time consumed would be more. So skill development is essential so that time can be saved quality of the product can be improved. Therefore students who are desires of undergoing skill development training in the field of painting and designing can successes in their arts and crafts etc.   Students can settle in the Government sector and private sector on account of training in their selected fields of sectors of painting and fashion designing. The products made by them would be exhibited in the exhibitions. There would be full demand for products manufactures by adopting fashion technology. The main of NGO is to provide skill development for their sustainable livelihood for which NGOs coordination and cooperation would always be made available to them.
